PROACTIVE & PREVENTATIVE POLICING WITHIN YOUR COMMUNITY

On 9th May 2026 the Farnworth & Kearsley neighbourhood team conducted a proactive operation in an around the Highfield area. The team were focusing on the use of illegal E-bikes throughout the area. The operation was a success and amongst several stop searches, and vehicle stops, 2 illegal bikes were seized.

Officers seized a confirmed stolen moped from Anchor Lane which had been stolen from Bolton in April 2026.

Officers also seized an illegal E-bike being used in Highfield which had been adapted to allow throttle control and was capable of going 22mph without pedal assistance.

We will continue our proactive work around Farnworth and Kearsley and are dedicated to taking all illegal E-bikes, off road bikes and Sur-Ron’s off our streets.
